I’m excited that my mom is going to contribute to my blog in the upcoming days. No one has ever had to wonder what she thinks … believe me … the woman has no filters. She tells everything as she sees it and then a little more. After decades of dealing with me … she deserves to be heard. Hopefully, her words will benefit someone still suffering.
Her life was no magic carpet ride while I was in the depths of my addiction. If interested, I hope you’ll join the blog and ask her how she survived a dysfunctional family. If you or someone you know is living with an addict or alcoholic… there is hope.

Thank you … please share it with anyone you think it will help … =)

Thank you for sharing. My youngest grandson, 17, has admitted he is addicted. He is currently in juvenile hall.

Cindy … there is always hope … chances are he is where he needs to be at this point in his life. Consider joining Al-Anon … it is an organization for families of addicts … it will be a great help to your family.

I was instantly attracted to the title of this post. I am one, too. And, oh, MY, what a JOURNEY it has been. Someone once suggested I was an “addict” magnet. And, some truth, it seems. BUT, until my children displayed these behaviors, I didn’t know hurt like I’ve known with my children. I’ll be watching. I hope I ‘subscribed’ right?
